आज चंडीगढ़ में पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान और हरियाणा के मुख्यमंत्री नायब सिंह सैनी के बीच सतलुज–यमुना लिंक (SYL) नहर मुद्दे को लेकर द्विपक्षीय बातचीत हुई। बैठक के बाद दोनों मुख्यमंत्रियों ने संयुक्त रूप से प्रेस वार्ता को संबोधित किया।
बैठक के दौरान SYL नहर से जुड़े विभिन्न पहलुओं पर विस्तार से चर्चा की गई। मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान ने पंजाब के पक्ष को दोहराते हुए कहा कि राज्य के पास अतिरिक्त पानी नहीं है, जबकि हरियाणा की ओर से अपनी मांगों को बैठक में रखा गया।
प्रेस वार्ता में दोनों पक्षों ने संवाद को सकारात्मक बताया और कहा कि बातचीत के जरिए समाधान निकालने के प्रयास जारी रहेंगे। इस बैठक को दोनों राज्यों के बीच लंबे समय से चले आ रहे SYL विवाद के संदर्भ में महत्वपूर्ण माना जा रहा है।

Punjab and Haryana CMs Hold Talks on SYL Canal Issue, Address Press in Chandigarh
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held bilateral talks in Chandigarh today on the long-pending Satluj–Yamuna Link (SYL) canal issue. Following the meeting, both leaders addressed a press conference.
During the discussions, various aspects related to the SYL canal were deliberated. CM Bhagwant Mann reiterated Punjab’s stand, stating that the state does not have surplus water, while the Haryana Chief Minister presented his state’s concerns.
Addressing the media, both sides described the talks as constructive and emphasized that dialogue will continue in an effort to find a mutually acceptable solution. The meeting is being viewed as significant in the context of the long-standing inter-state water dispute.
