Ludhiana में बच्चे की कथित बिक्री के मामले में कमिश्नरेट पुलिस ने बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए 5 आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है, जबकि 3 अन्य की गिरफ्तारी अभी बाकी है।
पुलिस आयुक्त Swapan Sharma और डीसीपी सिटी Rupinder Singh के निर्देशों पर चलाए जा रहे विशेष अभियान के तहत यह कार्रवाई की गई। एडीसीपी ज़ोन-1 समीर वर्मा और एसीपी सेंट्रल अनिल कुमार भनोट के मार्गदर्शन में थाना डिवीजन नंबर-3 की टीम ने इंस्पेक्टर नरदेव सिंह की अगुवाई में ऑपरेशन को अंजाम दिया।
15-02-2026 को गुप्त सूचना मिलने पर पुलिस ने तुरंत कार्रवाई करते हुए एफआईआर नंबर 32 धारा 143(4), 61(2) बीएनएस के तहत मामला दर्ज किया। जांच के दौरान सुनीता देवी (बच्चे की मां), प्रवीण, मनमीत कौर (BAMS), रुचि और मंदीप कौर को गिरफ्तार किया गया।
पुलिस के अनुसार, पम्मा (आशा वर्कर), गुरमीत कौर और आशा (नर्स) की गिरफ्तारी अभी बाकी है और उन्हें पकड़ने के लिए लगातार छापेमारी की जा रही है।
पुलिस ने बताया कि मामले की गहन जांच जारी है और पूरे नेटवर्क को उजागर करने के प्रयास किए जा रहे हैं।

Child Sale Racket Busted in Ludhiana, 5 Arrested; 3 Accused Still on the Run
In a shocking child sale case in Ludhiana, Commissionerate Police has arrested five accused while three others remain absconding.
The action was taken under the directions of Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma and DCP City Rupinder Singh as part of a special campaign against anti-social elements. The operation was led by Inspector Nardev Singh of Police Station Division No. 3.
Acting on secret information received on 15-02-2026 regarding the alleged sale of a child, police registered FIR No. 32 under Sections 143(4) and 61(2) of BNS and launched immediate action.
During investigation, five accused including the child’s mother and others were arrested. Police confirmed that three more accused, including an Asha worker and a nurse, are yet to be apprehended.
Authorities stated that raids are ongoing and a detailed investigation is underway to expose the entire network involved in the case.
