पंजाब कृषि विश्वविद्यालय में राज्य का पहला सेंट्रल पिवोट इरिगेशन सिस्टम शुरू किया गया। कैबिनेट मंत्री बृंदर कुमार गोयल ने कहा कि यह तकनीक पानी की बचत और फसलों की उत्पादकता बढ़ाने में मददगार साबित होगी। सरकार इसे कृषि के आधुनिक युग की शुरुआत मान रही है।
