ਸ. ਹਰਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਿਰਕ, ਪੀ.ਪੀ.ਐੱਸ., ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਕਪਤਾਨ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤਹਿਤ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ (15 ਅਗਸਤ) ਦੇ ਮੱਦੇਨਜ਼ਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਇਸੇ ਕੜੀ ਤਹਿਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਬ ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਫਲੈਗ ਮਾਰਚ ਕੱਢੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ-ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਗਏ।

(ਸਬ ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਾਹਕੋਟ) ਅਤੇ ਡੀ.ਐੱਸ.ਪੀ. ਰਾਜੀਵ ਕੁਮਾਰ (ਸਬ ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨ ਆਦਮਪੁਰ) ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ, ਭੀੜ-ਭੜੱਕੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ, ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਜਨਤਕ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਸਮਾਗਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਦਿਆਂ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ 24 ਘੰਟੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਚੈਕ ਪੁਆਇੰਟਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਰੀਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਵੇਦਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਅਣਸੁਖਾਵੀਂ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨਾਂ, ਬੱਸ ਅੱਡਿਆਂ, ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ, ਬਾਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਭੀੜ-ਭੜੱਕੇ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧ ਹੋਰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਸਥਿਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਰਿਸਪਾਂਸ ਵਾਹਨ (ERVs) ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ 24×7 ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਹਨ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ, ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ, ਲਾਵਾਰਿਸ ਵਸਤੂ ਜਾਂ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੋਣ ‘ਤੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ 112 ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਈਨ ‘ਤੇ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹਰ ਸੂਚਨਾ ‘ਤੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ, ਵਸਤੂ ਜਾਂ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕਰਨ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਹੀ ਆਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀਪੂਰਵਕ, ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਚੱਜੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਹਿਮ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Jalandhar Rural Police Conducts Flag March and Special Nakabandi to Strengthen Security Arrangements Ahead of Independence Day
Under the directions of S. Harvinder Singh Virk, PPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar Rural extensive security arrangements have been put in place across the district in view of Independence Day (August 15). As part of these measures, police teams conducted flag marches and intensified special nakabandi operations in various sub-divisions to strengthen law and order and ensure the safety and security of citizens.
The flag march was carried out under the supervision of DSP Narinder Singh Aujla (Sub-Division Kartarpur), DSP Onkar Singh Brar (Sub-Division Nakodar), DSP Bharat Masih Ladhar (Sub-Division Phillaur), DSP Sarwan Singh Ball, PPS (Sub-Division Shahkot), and DSP Rajiv Kumar (Sub-Division Adampur). Police teams visited markets, crowded areas, sensitive locations, and other important public places to assess the security situation and enhance public confidence.
Keeping in view the upcoming Independence Day celebrations, special nakabandi operations are being conducted across the district round the clock. Vehicles are being thoroughly checked at various checkpoints, while suspicious persons are being questioned and sensitive locations are being closely monitored to prevent any untoward incident.
In addition, security measures have been further strengthened at railway stations, bus stands, religious places, marketplaces, and other crowded locations. To ensure public safety and provide immediate assistance during emergencies, Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) have been deployed and remain available 24×7 throughout the district.
Citizens are encouraged to contact the 112 Emergency Helpline in case of any emergency, suspicious activity, unattended object, or requirement of police assistance. Prompt action is being ensured on every information received.
Jalandhar Rural Police appeals to the public to cooperate with the police and immediately report any suspicious person, object, or activity. Public cooperation plays a vital role in ensuring that Independence Day is celebrated in a peaceful, safe, and secure manner across the district.
