पंजाब के बठिंडा जिले में आज सुबह घने कोहरे के कारण एक दर्दनाक सड़क हादसा हो गया। यह दुर्घटना बठिंडा–बीकानेर नेशनल हाईवे पर बठिंडा के पास स्थित एक ग्रामीण इलाके में हुई, जिसमें टोयोटा फॉर्च्यूनर गाड़ी में सवार पांच लोगों की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई।
प्राप्त जानकारी के अनुसार, सुबह के समय क्षेत्र में अत्यधिक कोहरा छाया हुआ था, जिससे दृश्यता बेहद कम हो गई थी। इसी दौरान तेज रफ्तार टोयोटा फॉर्च्यूनर चालक का नियंत्रण खो बैठी और सड़क के बीच बने डिवाइडर से जा टकराई।
टक्कर इतनी भीषण थी कि वाहन पूरी तरह क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया। हादसे के समय कार में सवार सभी पांच लोगों की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। घटना की सूचना मिलते ही पुलिस और एंबुलेंस टीमें मौके पर पहुंचीं।
पुलिस ने मृतकों के शव कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए नजदीकी अस्पताल की मोर्चरी में भेज दिए हैं। प्रारंभिक जांच में हादसे का कारण घना कोहरा और कम दृश्यता बताया जा रहा है। पुलिस मामले की आगे जांच कर रही है।

Five Killed in Fatal Road Accident on National Highway Due to Dense Fog in Punjab
A tragic road accident occurred early this morning in Bathinda district of Punjab due to dense fog. The incident took place on the Bathinda–Bikaner National Highway near a rural area close to Bathinda, resulting in the death of five people traveling in a Toyota Fortuner.
According to reports, thick fog severely reduced visibility in the area during the early hours. As a result, the Toyota Fortuner went out of control and crashed into the road divider.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the vehicle was completely damaged. All five occupants of the car died on the spot. Upon receiving information, police and ambulance teams immediately reached the scene.
The bodies have been sent to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination. Police officials stated that preliminary investigation suggests low visibility caused by dense fog as the main reason behind the accident. Further investigation is underway.
