पंजाब सरकार की ओर से किला रायपुर ग्रामीण ओलंपिक का आयोजन इस वर्ष 30 जनवरी से 1 फरवरी तक किया जाएगा। इस प्रतिष्ठित खेल महोत्सव को लेकर प्रशासन ने तैयारियाँ तेज़ कर दी हैं। डिप्टी कमिश्नर हिमांशु जैन ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि इस बार प्रतियोगिता के तीनों दिन पारंपरिक बैलगाड़ी दौड़ आयोजित की जाएंगी, जो दर्शकों के लिए विशेष आकर्षण होंगी।
डिप्टी कमिश्नर ने स्पष्ट किया कि बैलगाड़ी दौड़ों के आयोजन को लेकर एनिमल वेलफेयर नियमों और कानूनों का पूरी तरह पालन सुनिश्चित किया जाएगा। इसके लिए एक विशेष समिति का गठन किया गया है, जो दौड़ों की निगरानी करेगी और किसी भी तरह की लापरवाही को रोकेगी। कार्यक्रम में मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत सिंह मान भी शामिल होंगे।
उन्होंने बताया कि खेलों के पहले दिन हॉकी, एथलेटिक्स और बैलगाड़ी दौड़ के साथ-साथ सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियाँ भी आयोजित की जाएंगी। वहीं, दूसरे और तीसरे दिन कबड्डी, साइकिल रेस, बुजुर्गों की दौड़ सहित कई अन्य पारंपरिक खेल प्रतियोगिताएँ कराई जाएंगी।
डिप्टी कमिश्नर हिमांशु जैन ने यह भी बताया कि बैलगाड़ी दौड़ में भाग लेने के लिए प्रविष्टियाँ 29 जनवरी दोपहर 2 बजे तक स्वीकार की जाएंगी। उन्होंने प्रतिभागियों से समय रहते पंजीकरण कराने की अपील की।
किला रायपुर ग्रामीण ओलंपिक-2026 का पोस्टर जारी करते हुए उन्होंने बताया कि 30 जनवरी 2026, खेलों के पहले दिन लड़कों और लड़कियों की ओपन श्रेणी में हॉकी मैच, 1500 मीटर दौड़ (लड़के-लड़कियाँ फाइनल), 400 मीटर दौड़ (हीट और फाइनल), प्राथमिक स्कूल के लड़के-लड़कियों के लिए 60 मीटर दौड़, तथा दोपहर 12:15 बजे से बैलगाड़ी दौड़ आयोजित की जाएंगी।

Kila Raipur Rural Olympics to begin from January 30, CM Bhagwant Mann to attend
The Punjab Government will organize the Kila Raipur Rural Olympics this year from January 30 to February 1. The administration has intensified preparations for this prestigious sports festival. Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain informed that this time traditional bullock cart races will be held on all three days, which will be a major attraction for spectators.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that the organization of bullock cart races will strictly comply with animal welfare rules and laws. For this purpose, a special committee has been constituted to monitor the races and prevent any kind of negligence. Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will also attend the event.
He further stated that on the first day, along with hockey, athletics, and bullock cart races, cultural performances will also be organized. On the second and third days, competitions such as kabaddi, cycle races, senior citizens’ races, and several other traditional sports events will be held.
Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain also informed that entries for the bullock cart races will be accepted until 2:00 PM on January 29. He appealed to participants to complete their registrations in time.
While releasing the poster of Kila Raipur Rural Olympics-2026, he said that on January 30, 2026, the first day of the games will feature open-category hockey matches for boys and girls, 1500-meter races (boys’ and girls’ finals), 400-meter races (heats and finals), 60-meter races for primary school boys and girls, and bullock cart races starting at 12:15 PM.
