प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के प्रस्तावित पंजाब दौरे से पहले मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत सिंह मान ने केंद्र सरकार से एक अहम अपील की है। सीएम मान ने मांग की है कि आदमपुर एयरपोर्ट का नाम महान संत श्री गुरु रविदास जी के नाम पर रखा जाए, ताकि समाज के हर वर्ग को सम्मान और पहचान मिल सके।
मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत मान ने कहा कि श्री गुरु रविदास जी ने अपने जीवन के माध्यम से समानता, भाईचारे और सामाजिक न्याय का संदेश दिया, जो आज भी प्रासंगिक है। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे संत महापुरुषों के नाम पर सार्वजनिक संस्थानों का नामकरण समाज में सकारात्मक संदेश देता है।
सीएम मान ने उम्मीद जताई कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी इस मांग पर सकारात्मक निर्णय लेंगे। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि पंजाब सरकार समाज सुधारकों और संत महापुरुषों के योगदान को सम्मान देने और उनकी विरासत को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए लगातार प्रयास कर रही है।

CM Mann has urged that Adampur Airport be renamed after the revered saint Sri Guru Ravidas Ji, to ensure respect and recognition for all sections of society.
The Chief Minister stated that Sri Guru Ravidas Ji preached the values of equality, brotherhood, and social justice, which continue to inspire society even today. He emphasized that naming public institutions after great social reformers sends a strong message of inclusiveness.
CM Mann expressed hope that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would take a positive decision on the matter. He added that the Punjab Government remains committed to honoring the legacy of saints and social reformers and carrying forward their contributions.
