ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਪਰਾਧ, ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਚਲਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਓਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ-2 ਤਹਿਤ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਖੰਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਨ ਖੰਨਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ 125 ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਨੀਤੀ, ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਗੌਰਵ ਯਾਦਵ ਦੀ ਰਣਨੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਖੰਨਾ ਡਾ. ਦਰਪਨ ਅਹਲੂਵਾਲੀਆ ਦੀ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਮੈਦਾਨੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਦਾ ਨਤੀਜਾ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਇਕੋ ਸਮੇਂ 151 ਥਾਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਛਾਪੇਮਾਰੀ
ਓਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ-2 ਤਹਿਤ ਖੰਨਾ, ਪਾਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਾਲਾ ਉਪ-ਡਿਵੀਜ਼ਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੋ ਸਮੇਂ 151 ਥਾਵਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਛਾਪੇਮਾਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਗੁਪਤ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ’ਤੇ ਕਈ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਬਣਾਕੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰਾਂ, ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ 3 ਸਰਗਰਮ ਗੈਂਗਸਟਰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ, 45 ਵਾਂਛਿਤ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਫੜੇ ਗਏ, 46 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ’ਤੇ ਰੋਕਥਾਮੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ, 2 ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ 29 ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਲਈ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਨਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਬਰਾਮਦਗੀ
ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਡਾ. ਦਰਪਨ ਅਹਲੂਵਾਲੀਆ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਅਭਿਆਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ 4 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਦੀ ਰਕਮ, 321.15 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ, 60 ਨਸ਼ੀਲੀ ਕੈਪਸੂਲਾਂ, 1 ਕਿਲੋ ਅਫੀਮ, 3 ਕਾਰਟਨ ਨਾਜਾਇਜ਼ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ, ਇੱਕ ਵਾਹਨ, 4 ਜਿੰਦਾ ਕਾਰਤੂਸ, 8 ਮਹਿੰਗੇ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ, ਇੱਕ ਸਮਾਰਟ ਵਾਚ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਐਕਸੈਸਰੀਜ਼ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਇਹ ਬਰਾਮਦਗੀ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਿਕ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਤੋੜਨ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਦਮ ਹੈ।
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਦੀ ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਟੋਲਰੈਂਸ ਨੀਤੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ
ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਅਤੇ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਮੁਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਲੈ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਗੌਰਵ ਯਾਦਵ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਹੇਠ ਸੂਬੇ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ‘ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਟੋਲਰੈਂਸ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ’ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਖੰਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਇਸ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸਾਫ਼ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

ਇਸ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਖੰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਹੈ। ਜਨਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ, ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਗੌਰਵ ਯਾਦਵ ਅਤੇ ਐੱਸਐੱਸਪੀ ਡਾ. ਦਰਪਨ ਅਹਲੂਵਾਲੀਆ ਸਮੇਤ ਖੰਨਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮ ਦੀ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਾਹਨਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਾਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਭਰੋਸੇ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਬਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਓਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰ-2 ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਮੁਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਦਮ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

Operation Prahar-2: Khanna Police Crack Down on Crime, 125 Suspects Detained in Massive One-Day Action
Khanna, Ludhiana | February 09:
A major police action was carried out in Police District Khanna under Operation Prahar-2, a special drive launched by the Punjab Government against crime, gangsters, and drug trafficking. On the very first day of the operation, Khanna Police took around 125 suspects into custody, creating a strong sense of fear among criminals and drug traffickers. This decisive action is being seen as a result of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s strict anti-drug policy, the strategic supervision of DGP Gaurav Yadav, and the effective field leadership of SSP Khanna Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia.
Under Operation Prahar-2, simultaneous raids were conducted at 151 locations across the sub-divisions of Khanna, Payal, and Samrala. Multiple police teams were formed based on secret intelligence inputs and executed a well-planned operation targeting gangsters, drug smugglers, and other criminal elements. During the raids, three active gangsters were arrested, 45 wanted criminals were apprehended, 46 persons were taken into preventive custody, two proclaimed offenders were arrested, and 29 individuals were detained for questioning, taking the total number of people proceeded against to 125.
The operation also resulted in a major recovery of drugs and illegal materials. SSP Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia stated that the police seized ₹4 lakh in drug money, 321.15 grams of heroin, 60 drug capsules, 1 kilogram of opium, three cartons of illicit liquor, one vehicle, four live cartridges, eight expensive mobile phones, a smartwatch, and other mobile accessories. These recoveries are considered a significant blow to drug trafficking networks and organized crime in the region.
This major crackdown reflects the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, who has been consistently taking firm decisions to make Punjab drug-free and crime-free. Under the Zero Tolerance Policy, implemented statewide under the supervision of DGP Gaurav Yadav, police units have been encouraged to take strong and fearless action against criminal elements. The success of Operation Prahar-2 in Khanna clearly demonstrates the impact of this policy on the ground.
The success of the operation is largely attributed to the strong on-ground leadership of SSP Khanna Dr. Darpan Ahluwalia, who personally monitored the entire action and issued clear instructions to all police teams. The SSP stated that such intensive operations will continue in the future to completely eliminate crime and drug trafficking from Khanna district.
