ਜਲੰਧਰ, 17 ਅਗਸਤ: ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਬਾਗਬਾਨੀ, ਸੁਤੰਤਰਤਾ ਸੈਨਾਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਭਲਾਈ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਹਿੰਦਰ ਭਗਤ ਨੇ ਵਾਰਡ ਨੰਬਰ 56 ਦੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 1.93 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਵਾਲੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੜਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਨੀਂਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਹੋਣ ਨਾਲ ਮਿੱਠੂ ਬਸਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਕੀ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਹੋਰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਾਲੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਰਬਪੱਖੀ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰ ਗਤੀ ਮਿਲ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਮੋਹਿੰਦਰ ਭਗਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਲਈ ਫੰਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਕਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਅਧੀਨ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਹਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੀ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਸੜਕੀ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ’ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਅੱਜ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿੱਠੂ ਬਸਤੀ ਵਿਖੇ 1.10 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਅਨੁਮਾਨਿਤ ਲਾਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਨਵੀਂ ਸੜਕ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ, ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ 42.86 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਲਾਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਸੜਕ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਬਸਤੀ ਮਿੱਠੂ ਵਿੱਚ 40.56 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਅਨੁਮਾਨਿਤ ਲਾਗਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਸੜਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ।
ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਜੈਕਟਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਸਮਾਂ-ਸੀਮਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਚ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਦੇ ਮਿਆਰ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ’ਤੇ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਗੁਣਵੱਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਲਾਪ੍ਰਵਾਹੀ ਜਾਂ ਸਮਝੌਤਾ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਮੁਕੇਸ਼ ਸੇਠੀ ਸਮੇਤ ਸਬੰਧਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਾਕਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਵੀ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਸਨ।

Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat Lays Foundation Stones for Three Road Projects Worth ₹1.93 Crore in Mithu Basti Area
Road Connectivity Between Mithu Basti and Krishna Nagar to Improve After Completion of Projects: Mohinder Bhagat
Jalandhar, August 17: Punjab Cabinet Minister for Horticulture, Freedom Fighters and Defence Services Welfare, Mohinder Bhagat, laid the foundation stones for three road projects costing ₹1.93 crore in different areas of Ward No. 56. He said that the completion of these projects would improve road connectivity between Mithu Basti and Krishna Nagar and provide greater convenience to local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, the Cabinet Minister said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to strengthening the state’s infrastructure and ensuring overall development. He said that a large number of development projects are being initiated across Jalandhar on a regular basis, giving further momentum to the city’s development.
Mohinder Bhagat said that there is no shortage of funds for development works and several other projects are also under process. He said that the government is focusing on providing better civic amenities to residents and strengthening the city’s road infrastructure.
He informed that the projects inaugurated today include construction of a new road in Mithu Basti at an estimated cost of ₹1.10 crore, road development work in Krishna Nagar costing ₹42.86 lakh, and another road project in Basti Mithu at an estimated cost of ₹40.56 lakh.
The Cabinet Minister directed the concerned officials to ensure that all three projects are completed within the stipulated timeframe. He also stressed the need to maintain the highest standards of quality in construction work and said that any negligence or compromise with quality would not be tolerated.
Councillor Mukesh Sethi, along with concerned officials and local residents, was also present on the occasion.
