ਜਲੰਧਰ, 21 ਅਗਸਤ: ‘ਖੇਡਾਂ ਵਤਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀਆਂ’ ਸੀਜ਼ਨ-4 ਤਹਿਤ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਮਸ਼ਾਲ ਰੈਲੀ ਦਾ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮੋਹਿੰਦਰ ਭਗਤ, ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਵਰਜੀਤ ਵਾਲੀਆ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸ਼ਖਸੀਅਤਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਮੋਹਿੰਦਰ ਭਗਤ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਲਈ 700 ਕਰੋੜ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਬਜਟ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਖੇਡ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਢਾਂਚੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਪੱਧਰ ਤੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੀ ਖੇਡ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਖੇਡ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਡਲ ਖੇਡ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ ਕੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਊਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਾਰੂ ਪਾਸੇ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਡਿਪਟੀ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਲਾਕ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਖੇਡਾਂ 3 ਤੋਂ 15 ਸਤੰਬਰ, ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਪੱਧਰੀ 20 ਤੋਂ 30 ਸਤੰਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਖੇਡਾਂ 10 ਤੋਂ 28 ਨਵੰਬਰ ਤੱਕ ਹੋਣਗੀਆਂ। ਖਿਡਾਰੀ sports.punjab.gov.in ’ਤੇ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਰਜਿਸਟਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਕਰਵਾ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।

Khedan Vatan Punjab Diyan Season-4: Torch Rally Receives Grand Welcome in Jalandhar
Jalandhar, August 21: The torch rally under ‘Khedan Vatan Punjab Diyan’ Season-4 received a warm welcome in Jalandhar by Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia, District Planning Committee Chairman Amritpal Singh and other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohinder Bhagat said that the Punjab Government has allocated a budget of ₹700 crore for sports, which will strengthen sports infrastructure at the grassroots level and help revive Punjab’s rich sporting legacy. He said sports facilities and model playgrounds are being developed in villages, while sports are also being linked with the anti-drug campaign to channel the energy of youth in a constructive direction.
The Deputy Commissioner said that block-level games will be held from September 3 to 15, district-level games from September 20 to 30, and state-level games from November 10 to 28. Players can register online at sports.punjab.gov.in.
