पंजाब के परिवहन मंत्री श्री ललजीत सिंह भुल्लर ने शनिवार को अमर शहीद सुखदेव अंतरराज्यीय बस स्टैंड, लुधियाना का औचक दौरा किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने यात्रियों से सीधा फीडबैक लिया और बस स्टैंड की सुविधाओं का जायजा लिया, ताकि प्रदेश के बस स्टैंडों की स्थिति को बेहतर बनाया जा सके।
परिवहन मंत्री के अचानक पहुंचने से यात्री, बस चालक, कंडक्टर और दुकानदार सभी हैरान रह गए। उन्होंने बस स्टैंड परिसर में स्थित दुकानों के संचालकों से बातचीत कर यात्रियों को ताजा खाद्य सामग्री उपलब्ध कराने और साफ-सफाई का विशेष ध्यान रखने के निर्देश दिए।
श्री भुल्लर ने बस स्टैंड पर मौजूद यात्रियों से सीधे संवाद कर यात्रा के दौरान आने वाली समस्याओं को सुना। इसके अलावा उन्होंने बस स्टैंड में स्थित वर्कशॉप का भी निरीक्षण किया और रखरखाव व्यवस्थाओं की समीक्षा की।
मंत्री ने अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि लुधियाना बस स्टैंड के रखरखाव और प्रबंधन पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जाए, ताकि विभाग द्वारा संचालित सार्वजनिक सेवाएं अधिक प्रभावी बन सकें और यात्रियों को समय पर बेहतर सुविधाएं मिल सकें।
साफ-सफाई व्यवस्था का निरीक्षण करते हुए परिवहन मंत्री ने बस स्टैंड में विशेष सफाई अभियान चलाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि बस स्टैंड को स्वच्छ और hygienic बनाए रखना प्राथमिकता है और इसके लिए रोजाना सफाई सुनिश्चित की जाए।
उन्होंने आम जनता से भी साफ-सफाई अभियानों में सहयोग करने की अपील करते हुए कहा कि जनता की भागीदारी के बिना कोई भी अभियान सफल नहीं हो सकता। साथ ही, उन्होंने पंजाब के सभी बस स्टैंडों के जनरल मैनेजरों को निर्देश दिए कि साफ-सफाई में किसी भी प्रकार की ढिलाई बर्दाश्त नहीं की जाएगी।

Punjab Transport Minister Shri Laljit Singh Bhullar made an unexpected visit to the Amar Shaheed Sukhdev Interstate Bus Stand in Ludhiana on Saturday to review facilities and gather direct feedback from passengers as part of efforts to improve the condition of bus stands across the state.
The sudden visit took passengers, bus drivers, conductors, and shopkeepers by surprise. During the visit, the minister interacted with shopkeepers operating inside the bus stand and instructed them to ensure the availability of fresh food items while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Shri Bhullar also held direct conversations with passengers present at the bus stand and patiently listened to the problems and difficulties they face during their journeys. He further inspected the workshop located within the bus stand premises to assess maintenance arrangements.
Emphasizing efficient public service delivery, the minister directed officials to focus on proper upkeep and maintenance of the Ludhiana bus stand so that transport services run smoothly and passengers receive timely and quality facilities.
Inspecting the cleanliness arrangements, the Transport Minister ordered officials to launch a special cleanliness drive at the Ludhiana bus stand. He stressed that maintaining a clean and hygienic environment is a priority and instructed that daily cleaning must be ensured to keep the premises dirt-free.
The minister appealed to the public to cooperate in maintaining cleanliness, stating that no initiative can succeed without public participation. He also instructed general managers of all bus stands across Punjab to leave no stone unturned in maintaining cleanliness and warned that negligence or laxity in this regard will not be tolerated.
