ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ: ਪਿੰਗਲਵਾੜਾ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਬੱਚੇ ਰਮੇਸ਼ ਨੇ ਹਾਂਗਕਾਂਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਸਪੈਸ਼ਲ ਓਲੰਪਿਕਸ ਈਸਟ ਏਸ਼ੀਆ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਿਤਾ 2026 ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਰਮੇਸ਼ ਨੇ ਬੌਲਿੰਗ ਦੇ ਡਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਕਸਡ ਟੀਮ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਸੋਨ ਤਗਮੇ ਜਿੱਤੇ, ਜਦਕਿ ਸਿੰਗਲ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੌਥਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਹਾਂਗਕਾਂਗ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ’ਤੇ ਪਿੰਗਲਵਾੜਾ ਵਿਖੇ ਰਮੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸੰਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ’ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।
ਪਿੰਗਲਵਾੜਾ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਡਾ. ਇੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੋਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਮਰੱਥ ਰਮੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਥਾ ਨੇ ਸਹਾਰਾ, ਸਿਖਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਹੌਸਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਹੀ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਸਦਕਾ ਰਮੇਸ਼ ਅੱਜ ਅੰਤਰਰਾਸ਼ਟਰੀ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਮਾਣ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦੀ ਇਹ ਉਪਲਬਧੀ ਹੋਰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਣਾ ਦਾ ਸਰੋਤ ਹੈ।

Ramesh Makes India Proud in Hong Kong, Wins 2 Gold Medals in Bowling; Receives Grand Welcome at Pingalwara
Amritsar: Ramesh, a special-needs child associated with the Pingalwara institution, has made India proud at the Special Olympics East Asia Competition 2026 held in Hong Kong. Ramesh won two gold medals in the Doubles and Mixed Team bowling competitions, while securing fourth place in the Singles competition.
After returning to Amritsar from Hong Kong, Ramesh received a grand welcome at Pingalwara. Members of the institution and his fellow participants expressed happiness over his achievement and congratulated him on his success.
Pingalwara chief Dr. Inderjit Kaur said that Ramesh, who is unable to speak, was provided with support, training and encouragement by the institution. With continuous hard work and proper guidance, Ramesh has today become a source of pride for the country at the international level. His achievement has also become an inspiration for other children with special needs.
