ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਪਾਰਦਰਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ-ਹਿਤੈਸ਼ੀ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਅਸਰ ਹੁਣ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਪੱਧਰ ’ਤੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ 90 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ ਉਪਭੋਗਤਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਬਿੱਲ ਸ਼ੂਨਿਆ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
600 ਯੂਨਿਟ ਤੱਕ ਮੁਫ਼ਤ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਦੀ ਸਹੂਲਤ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਭਾਰੀ ਬਿਜਲੀ ਬਿੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਨਾਲ ਘਰੇਲੂ ਬਜਟ ’ਤੇ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਬੋਝ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਹੱਦ ਤੱਕ ਘਟਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਨੀਤੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸਮਰਥਨ ਅਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਮਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਲੋਕ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਅਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਜਵਾਬਦੇਹੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣ ਮੰਨ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
