देश की सोलहवीं डिजिटल जनगणना का पहला चरण 1 अप्रैल 2026 से शुरू हो चुका है, और पंजाब में ये 15 मई से 13 जून तक चलेगा। Enumerator घर-घर आकर तैंतीस सवाल पूछ रहे हैं, जिसमें मुख्य रूप से घर की छत और दीवार का मैटेरियल, पीने के पानी का स्रोत, शौचालय की सुविधा के साथ टीवी, मोबाइल, इंटरनेट व गाड़ी के स्वामित्व की जानकारी ली जा रही है। इस दौरान धोखाधड़ी से बचने के लिए याद रखें कि असली जनगणना अधिकारी कभी OTP, बैंक डिटेल या पैसे नहीं मांगते, इसलिए घर आए Enumerator का सरकारी पहचान-पत्र जरूर देखें, और अगर कोई बैंक डिटेल या निजी जानकारी मांगे तो न दें, क्योंकि इससे आपका खाता खाली हो सकता है और आप साइबर ठगी के शिकार हो सकते हैं।

Census Begins: 33 Questions Asked, Beware of Anyone Seeking OTP or Bank Details.
The first phase of the country’s 16th Digital Census has started from April 1, 2026, and in Punjab it will run from May 15 to June 13. Enumerators are visiting house to house and asking thirty-three questions, mainly collecting information about the material of the house’s roof and walls, source of drinking water, toilet facility, along with ownership of TV, mobile, internet, and vehicle. To avoid fraud during this, remember that real census officers never ask for OTP, bank details, or money, so always check the official ID card of the enumerator who visits your home, and if anyone asks for bank details or personal information, do not give it, because this can empty your account and make you a victim of cyber fraud.
