लुधियाना के क्रिश्चियन मेडिकल कॉलेज एंड हॉस्पिटल (CMC) के न्यूरोलॉजी विभाग को ICMR की प्रतिष्ठित CAR ग्रांट मिली है। इसके तहत नेशनल सेंटर फॉर एडवांस्ड स्ट्रोक ट्रायल्स, टेक्नोलॉजी एंड प्रैक्टिस (NCSTTP) की स्थापना की जाएगी। इस उपलब्धि के साथ CMC लुधियाना स्ट्रोक के क्षेत्र में CAR ग्रांट पाने वाला भारत का पहला मेडिकल कॉलेज बन गया है।
करीब 14.2 करोड़ रुपये की यह पांच वर्षीय परियोजना CMC वेल्लोर, SCTIMST तिरुवनंतपुरम और IIT खड़गपुर समेत कई संस्थानों के सहयोग से संचालित होगी। इसका उद्देश्य स्ट्रोक की जल्द पहचान, बेहतर इलाज और स्वदेशी आधुनिक तकनीकों का विकास करना है।

India’s stroke treatment is set to gain new momentum! CMC Ludhiana has received the prestigious ICMR CAR Grant, becoming the first medical college in the country to receive it for stroke research.
The Department of Neurology at Christian Medical College & Hospital (CMC), Ludhiana, has received the prestigious CAR grant from the ICMR. Under this grant, the National Center for Advanced Stroke Trials, Technology and Practice (NCSTTP) will be established. With this achievement, CMC Ludhiana has become the first medical college in India to receive a CAR grant in the field of stroke.
This five-year project, worth approximately ₹14.2 crore, will be carried out in collaboration with several institutions, including CMC Vellore, SCTIMST Thiruvananthapuram, and IIT Kharagpur. Its objective is to enable early detection of stroke, improve treatment, and develop indigenous advanced technologies.
