ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਾਊਂਟਰ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਫ਼ਰੀਦਕੋਟ ਨੇ ਬਾਰਡਰ ਸਿਕਿਊਰਟੀ ਫੋਰਸ (BSF) ਨਾਲ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਤਾਲਮੇਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਪੀਐਸ ਸਦਰ ਅਧੀਨ ਪਿੰਡ ਤੇਜਾ ਰਾਹੇਲਾ ਨੇੜੇ ਬੀਓਪੀ ਜੀਜੀ–3 ਦੇ ਲੈਂਡ ਬਾਰਡਰ ’ਤੇ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਸਾਂਝੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਬਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜਥੇ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਲਾਬਾਰੂਦ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤਾ। ਬਰਾਮਦ ਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਘਫ਼ਾਰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਪਿਸਤੌਲ (MP-5 ਟਾਈਪ), 20 ਪਿਸਤੌਲ, 39 ਮੈਗਜ਼ੀਨ, 310 ਜਿੰਦਾ ਰਾਊਂਡ (9 ਮਿ.ਮੀ.), ਦੋ ਬੈਕਪੈਕ ਅਤੇ 2.160 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੈ।
ਪ੍ਰਾਰੰਭਿਕ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਲਾਸਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਤਸਕਰ ਜ਼ੀਰੋ ਲਾਈਨ ਪਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਾਰਡਰ ਫੈਂਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਘਣੇ ਕੋਹਰੇ ਦਾ ਫਾਇਦਾ ਚੁੱਕਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਥਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੱਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਚੌਕੰਨੇ BSF ਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਈ ਗੋਲੀਆਂ ਚਲਾ ਕੇ ਘੁਸਪੈਠ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਕਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਾਊਂਟਰ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਅਤੇ BSF ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਮੁਹਿੰਮ ਚਲਾਈ ਗਈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਰਾਮਦਗੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਏਜੰਸੀਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।

Major Success at Fazilka Border: Counter Intelligence and BSF Foil Cross-Border Smuggling Attempt, Heroin and Arms Recovered
In a major success, Counter Intelligence Faridkot, in close coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF), foiled a major cross-border smuggling attempt at the land border near BOP GG-3, close to village Teja Rahela under PS Sadar in Fazilka district. The operation was carried out during the night.
During the joint operation, security forces recovered a large consignment of heroin along with weapons and ammunition. The seized items included one Ghaffar security pistol (MP-5 type), 20 pistols, 39 magazines, 310 live rounds (9 mm), two backpacks, and 2.160 kilograms of heroin.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Pakistan-based smugglers had crossed the zero line and reached close to the border fence. Taking advantage of the darkness of night and dense fog, they attempted to push weapons and narcotics into Indian territory.
However, alert BSF personnel acted swiftly and fired several rounds, successfully foiling the infiltration attempt. This was followed by a joint search operation conducted by Counter Intelligence and the BSF, during which the entire consignment was recovered. Further investigation into the case is currently underway by the security agencies.
