पंजाब सरकार और डीजीपी के निर्देश पर लुधियाना कमिश्नरेट पुलिस ने रविवार तड़के ‘ऑपरेशन प्रहार-3’ चलाकर अपराधियों और नशा तस्करों के खिलाफ बड़ी कार्रवाई की। सुबह 4 बजे शुरू हुए इस अभियान में 60 टीमों के 360 से अधिक पुलिसकर्मियों ने शहर के विभिन्न इलाकों में एक साथ छापेमारी की।
पुलिस के अनुसार, अब तक 132 से अधिक संदिग्धों और अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार या हिरासत में लिया गया है तथा 38 एफआईआर दर्ज की गई हैं। कार्रवाई के दौरान गांजा, चिट्टा, हेरोइन, अफीम और प्रतिबंधित गोलियों समेत भारी मात्रा में नशीले पदार्थ बरामद किए गए हैं। इसके अलावा अवैध हथियार, शराब और चोरी के वाहन भी जब्त किए गए हैं।
पुलिस ने बताया कि अभियान के तहत गैंगस्टरों, उनके सहयोगियों, ड्रग तस्करों और वांछित अपराधियों को निशाना बनाया गया। शहर के आठ प्रमुख स्थानों पर विशेष नाकाबंदी कर सघन चेकिंग भी की गई। पुलिस ने स्पष्ट किया कि अपराध और नशे के खिलाफ ऐसी कार्रवाई आगे भी लगातार जारी रहेगी।

Massive ‘Operation Prahar-3’ launched in Ludhiana at dawn: 60 teams comprising 360 police personnel conducted raids, arresting over 132 criminals and recovering narcotics, illegal weapons, and stolen vehicles.
On the directions of the Punjab Government and the DGP, Ludhiana Commissionerate Police launched a major crackdown against criminals and drug traffickers under ‘Operation Prahar-3’ early on Sunday morning. The operation began at 4 a.m., during which more than 360 police personnel from 60 teams simultaneously conducted raids across various parts of the city.
According to the police, more than 132 suspects and criminals have been arrested or detained so far, and 38 FIRs have been registered. During the operation, a large quantity of narcotics, including cannabis, “chitta” (synthetic drugs), heroin, opium, and banned pills, was recovered.
In addition, illegal weapons, liquor, and stolen vehicles were also seized. Police said that the operation specifically targeted gangsters, their associates, drug traffickers, and wanted criminals.
Special checkpoints were set up at eight major locations across the city, where intensive checking was carried out. The police have stated that such strict action against crime and drugs will continue in the future as well.accused.
