देशभर में आज बैंक कर्मचारियों की हड़ताल के कारण बैंकिंग सेवाएं बुरी तरह प्रभावित रहीं। यूनाइटेड फोरम ऑफ बैंक यूनियंस (UFBU) के आह्वान पर सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों की अधिकांश शाखाएं बंद रहीं, जिससे आम लोगों को काफी परेशानी का सामना करना पड़ा।
हड़ताल के चलते नकद लेन-देन, चेक क्लियरेंस, पासबुक अपडेट और पेंशन से जुड़ी सेवाएं पूरी तरह ठप रहीं। बैंकों के बाहर ग्राहकों की लंबी कतारें देखी गईं, जबकि कई जगहों पर लोगों को बिना काम के लौटना पड़ा।
हड़ताल की मुख्य मांगों में सप्ताह में पांच कार्यदिवस लागू करना और अन्य सेवा शर्तों से जुड़े मुद्दे शामिल हैं। हालांकि राहत की बात यह रही कि UPI, इंटरनेट बैंकिंग और मोबाइल बैंकिंग जैसी डिजिटल सेवाएं सामान्य रूप से चालू रहीं, लेकिन कुछ स्थानों पर ATM में नकदी की कमी भी देखी गई।

Nationwide Bank Employees’ Strike Disrupts Banking Services
Banking services across the country were severely affected today due to a nationwide strike by bank employees. Acting on a call given by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), most branches of public sector banks remained closed, causing inconvenience to customers.
As a result of the strike, cash transactions, cheque clearance, passbook updates, and pension-related services came to a halt. Many customers were seen waiting outside bank branches, while several had to return without completing their work.
The key demands of the strike include the implementation of a five-day work week and other service-related conditions. However, digital banking services such as UPI, internet banking, and mobile banking remained operational, though cash shortages were reported at some ATMs.
