चंडीगढ़: पंजाब भवन में मीडिया से बातचीत करते हुए कैबिनेट मंत्री डॉ. बलबीर सिंह ने कहा कि राज्य में स्वास्थ्य और शिक्षा क्षेत्र को मजबूत करने के लिए पंजाब सरकार द्वारा 7 नए मेडिकल कॉलेज बनाए जा रहे हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि होशियारपुर में एक नया मेडिकल कॉलेज बनाया जा रहा है और मलेरकोटला में मुस्लिम कॉलेज के साथ एक मेडिकल कॉलेज का निर्माण भी किया जा रहा है।
उन्होंने कहा कि इन मेडिकल कॉलेजों के बनने से पंजाब के छात्रों को एमबीबीएस की पढ़ाई के लिए यूक्रेन या नेपाल जैसे देशों में नहीं जाना पड़ेगा। इससे राज्य के युवाओं को अपने ही प्रदेश में बेहतर मेडिकल शिक्षा प्राप्त करने का अवसर मिलेगा।
सरकार का मानना है कि इन नए संस्थानों से न केवल शिक्षा के अवसर बढ़ेंगे, बल्कि राज्य के लोगों को अपने घर के पास बेहतर स्वास्थ्य सुविधाएं भी उपलब्ध होंगी।

Punjab Government to Establish 7 New Medical Colleges: Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh
Chandigarh: While speaking to the media at Punjab Bhawan in Chandigarh, Cabinet Minister Dr. Balbir Singh announced that the Punjab Government is building seven new medical colleges to strengthen the healthcare and education sectors in the state.
He stated that a new medical college is being constructed in Hoshiarpur, while another medical college is being developed along with a Muslim college in Malerkotla.
According to the minister, the establishment of these institutions will ensure that students from Punjab will not have to travel to countries like Ukraine or Nepal to pursue MBBS studies.
These initiatives aim to provide better medical education opportunities for the youth and improved healthcare facilities for the public closer to their homes.
