ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ/ਪਟਿਆਲਾ — ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੁਨਿਆਦੀ ਸੌਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸੁਵਿਧਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਪੱਧਰ ‘ਤੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਮੌਕੇ ਦੇਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਪੇਸ਼ੇਵਰ ਢਾਂਚੇ ‘ਚ ਲਿਆਉਣਾ ਹੈ।
ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 3,100 ਸਟੇਡਿਅਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਹਿ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਜੂਨ 2026 ਤੱਕ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਿਰਧਾਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਹਰ ਸਟੇਡਿਅਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੌਗਿੰਗ ਟਰੈਕ, ਵਾਲੀਬਾਲ ਕੋਰਟ, ਜਿੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬੈਰੀਕੇਡ ਸਮੇਤ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ। ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ 17,000 ਖਿਡਾਰੀ ਕਿੱਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੰਡ ਵੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਟ੍ਰੇਨਿੰਗ ਮਿਲ ਸਕੇ।
ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਆਨਲਾਈਨ ਸਪੋਰਟਸ ਪੋਰਟਲ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਟੂਰਨਾਮੈਂਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਥਾਨ ‘ਤੇ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ। ਇਸਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੂਵਾ ਭਵਨ ਵੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜੋ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਟਨੈਸ ਸੈਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਖੇਡ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ “ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹਰ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਮਲੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਹੈ। ਸਾਡਾ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਲਈ ਅੱਛੀਆਂ ਸੁਵਿਧਾਵਾਂ ਮਿਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਖਿਡਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਟੇਲੈਂਟ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਨ ਹੋਵੇ।”
ਇਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਸਿਰਫ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਸਗੋਂ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਵੀਆਂ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਜੀਵਨਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਦਾ ਮੌਕਾ ਵੀ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
Chandigarh/Patiala — The Punjab government has launched an ambitious initiative to strengthen grassroots sports and provide young athletes with enhanced infrastructure and opportunities across the state. The initiative aims to create a professional sporting environment and empower youth at the district and block levels.
As part of the plan, the government has committed to completing 3,100 stadiums by June 2026, featuring jogging tracks, volleyball courts, gyms, and secured playing grounds. In addition, 17,000 sports kits will be distributed to budding athletes to provide proper training and encouragement at the local level.
A significant component of this initiative is the development of an online sports portal, which will centralize information about players, clubs, and tournaments, making it easier for talent to be identified and nurtured. Additionally, Yuva Bhawan will serve as a hub for youth, offering sports, fitness, and training sessions to cultivate future athletes.
Punjab’s Sports Minister emphasized, “The government is committed to turning every potential opportunity for young athletes into reality. Our goal is to ensure quality sports facilities in every district and help recognize and develop talent across the state.”
This wide-ranging sports infrastructure push is expected not only to enhance athletic performance but also to create new employment opportunities for youth, promote a healthier lifestyle, and build a sustainable ecosystem for sports development in Punjab.
With these measures, the state government envisions a future where Punjab becomes a hub for young sporting talent, and athletes are supported from grassroots to professional levels, contributing to India’s growing presence in national and international sports.
