जिला सिविल अस्पताल में अब लैप्रोस्कोपी सर्जरी की आधुनिक सुविधा शुरू हो गई है, जिससे क्षेत्र के मरीजों को बड़ी राहत मिलेगी। इस नई सुविधा के तहत अस्पताल में पहली बार सफल लैप्रोस्कोपिक सर्जरी की गई।
नव नियुक्त लैप्रोस्कोपिक सर्जन डॉ. अंकुर गुप्ता उप्पल ने गांव बुट्टर कलां की रहने वाली महिला चरणजीत कौर का गॉल ब्लैडर स्टोन का ऑपरेशन सफलतापूर्वक किया। यह इस अस्पताल में की गई पहली लैप्रोस्कोपी सर्जरी है।
यह ऑपरेशन स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना (आयुष्मान कार्ड) के तहत किया गया, जिससे मरीज के परिवार को बड़ी आर्थिक राहत मिली। परिजनों ने सरकारी अस्पताल में यह सुविधा मिलने पर खुशी जताई और पंजाब सरकार का धन्यवाद किया।
सीनियर मेडिकल ऑफिसर डॉ. हरिंदर सिंह सूद ने बताया कि यह सुविधा जिले के मरीजों के लिए बेहद लाभदायक है। उन्होंने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री भगवंत सिंह मान और स्वास्थ्य विभाग के प्रयासों से यह संभव हो पाया है।
अब मरीजों को निजी अस्पतालों में महंगे इलाज की जरूरत नहीं पड़ेगी, क्योंकि सरकारी अस्पताल में ही आयुष्मान कार्ड के तहत मुफ्त या कम खर्च में लैप्रोस्कोपी सर्जरी उपलब्ध होगी।

Free treatment was provided under the Ayushman Card scheme, and the patient’s family expressed gratitude to the Punjab government.
With this new facility, patients in the district will get major relief as advanced laparoscopic surgeries are now available at the government hospital. The first successful laparoscopic surgery has been performed under this initiative.
Newly appointed laparoscopic surgeon Dr. Ankur Gupta Uppal successfully conducted a gallbladder stone operation on Charanjit Kaur, a resident of village Buttar Kalan. This marks the first laparoscopic surgery in the hospital.
The procedure was carried out under the Ayushman health insurance scheme, providing significant financial relief to the family. They expressed happiness over the availability of such services in a government hospital and thanked the Punjab government.
Senior Medical Officer Dr. Harinder Singh Sood said this initiative is highly beneficial for patients in the district and credited Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the Health Department for making it possible.
He added that patients will no longer need to spend heavily at private hospitals, as laparoscopic surgeries will now be available at free or minimal cost under the Ayushman scheme in the civil hospital.
