ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਅਮਨ-ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਨਾਜਾਇਜ਼ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਵੇਚਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ 11 ਪੇਟੀਆਂ ਨਾਜਾਇਜ਼ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਸਮੇਤ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਮਾਨਯੋਗ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਲਖਵੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ ਲੱਖੂ ਵਾਸੀ ਕੋਟ ਗੰਗੂ ਰਾਏ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਕਾਬੰਦੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਨੰਬਰ 32 ਮਿਤੀ 20-02-2026 ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਾ 61-01-14 EX Act ਤਹਿਤ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਬਾਹਰਲੀਆਂ ਸਟੇਟਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਸਤੀ ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿੰਗੇ ਭਾਅ ਵੇਚਦਾ ਸੀ। ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਪੁੱਛਗਿੱਛ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।

Commissionerate Police Ludhiana Arrests Man with 11 Boxes of Illicit Liquor
Commissionerate Police Ludhiana has arrested one person along with 11 boxes of illicit liquor as part of a drive against illegal liquor trade to maintain law and order. The action was taken under the directions of senior police officials.
According to police, the accused, Lakhvir Singh alias Lakhu, a resident of Kot Gangu Rai, was arrested during a naka checking operation. FIR No. 32 dated 20-02-2026 has been registered under Section 61-01-14 of the Excise Act. During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused used to procure cheap liquor from other states and sell it at higher prices in Ludhiana. He will be produced before the court for remand, and further investigation is underway.
