ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, 31 ਜਨਵਰੀ: ਸਨਾਤਨ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਮਿਤੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਦ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਮੰਡਲ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬੀ.ਸੀ.ਐਮ ਸਕੂਲ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੇਦਿਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਪਨ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਅਤੇ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਤੇ ‘ਆਪ’ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਇੰਚਾਰਜ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਸਿਸੋਦੀਆ ਮੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਮਾਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਮਲ ਹੋਏ।
ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਹੀ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਮਾਧਿਅਮ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਮੁੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਨਾ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਵੇਦਿਕ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨਾਲ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਚਰਿੱਤਰ, ਸੋਚ ਅਤੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਉਪ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਮਨੀਸ਼ ਸਿਸੋਦੀਆ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵੇਦ, ਉਪਨਿਸ਼ਦ ਅਤੇ ਗੀਤਾ ਵਰਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਗਿਆਨ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਅਹਿਮ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਬਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਗਿਆਨ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਸੋਚ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁੱਲ ਵੀ ਵਿਕਸਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਚੱਲੀ ਇਸ ਵੇਦਿਕ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਯੋਗਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ 25 ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੁੱਲ 296 ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜੇਤੂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੀਡੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਬਜਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਲਈ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਰਾਹਤ ਪੈਕੇਜ ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਖੇਤਰ ਲਈ ਵਧੇਰੇ ਬਜਟ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਵੀ ਰੱਖੀ।

Emphasis on Shaping Children’s Future through Vedic Education; Conclusion of Vedic Speech Competition in Ludhiana
Ludhiana, January 31: A special event was organized at BCM School, Ludhiana, to mark the conclusion of a year-long Vedic speech competition conducted by Sanatan Seva Samiti Punjab and Ved Prachar Mandal Punjab. Punjab Education Minister Mr. Harjot Singh Bains and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister and AAP Punjab in-charge Mr. Manish Sisodia attended the event as chief guests.
Addressing the gathering, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said that education is the strongest medium for social transformation. He emphasized that connecting children with good values and principles is the need of the hour. According to him, Vedic education strengthens children’s character, thinking, and overall future.
Former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia stated that ancient knowledge such as the Vedas, Upanishads, and the Bhagavad Gita should become an integral part of the modern education system. He stressed that such knowledge helps develop scientific thinking along with strong life values among children.
The year-long Vedic speech competition witnessed the participation of 296 students from 25 schools. On this occasion, the winning students and principals of the participating schools were honored for their contributions.
Later, while interacting with the media, Harjot Singh Bains demanded a special relief package for Punjab and increased budget allocation for the education sector in the upcoming Union Budget.
