ਖੰਨਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਐਨਆਰਆਈ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਦੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਕਤਲ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ

ਖੰਨਾ (ਪੰਜਾਬ): ਖੰਨਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਐਨਆਰਆਈ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਦੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਕਤਲ ਦੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਟਰੇਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਮੁੱਖ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਲਤਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਐਫਆਈਆਰ ਨੰਬਰ 22 ਥਾਣਾ ਸਿਟੀ ਖੰਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਾਰਾ 103(1) ਬੀਐਨਐਸ ਤਹਿਤ 01-02-2026 ਨੂੰ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ।

ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਡਾਇਰੈਕਟਰ ਜਨਰਲ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਡੀਆਈਜੀ ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਰੇਂਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਖੰਨਾ ਡਾ. ਅਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਗਹਿਰਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਦਰਪਣ ਆਹਲੂਵਾਲੀਆ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਜਾਂਚ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਗਠਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਰਾਹੁਲ (24 ਸਾਲ), ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬ੍ਰਿਜ ਮੋਹਨ, ਵਸਨੀਕ ਅਲੀਗੜ੍ਹ (ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼), ਜੋ ਖੰਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਰਾਏਦਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਨੇ ਲਾਲਚ ਵੱਸ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਦਾ ਗਲਾ ਘੋਟ ਕੇ ਕਤਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਮਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਚੁਰਾ ਕੇ ਫਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

ਖੰਨਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ 06-02-2026 ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।

Khanna police arrests main culprit in the case of blind murder of NRI elderly woman

Khanna (Punjab): Khanna police have successfully apprehended the main culprit by tracing a serious case of blind murder involving an NRI elderly woman. In this connection, FIR No. 22 was registered at Thana City Khanna under Section 103(1) of the BNS on 01-02-2026.

As per the guidelines of the Hon’ble Director General of Police, Punjab, and the DIG, Ludhiana Range, Senior Captain Police Khanna initiated an in-depth investigation into the matter. Special investigation teams were constituted under the leadership of Darpan Ahluwalia to ensure a thorough probe.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused Rahul (24 years), son of Brij Mohan, a resident of Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), who was living as a tenant in Khanna, allegedly entered the house with malicious intent, strangled the elderly woman, and stole cash from the cupboard before fleeing the scene.

Khanna police arrested the accused on 06-02-2026. The accused will be produced before the court to seek police remand, and further investigation in the case is ongoing.
