नंगल से कीरतपुर साहिब को जोड़ने वाली फोर लेन सड़क परियोजना को मंजूरी मिल गई है। इस अहम परियोजना को शिक्षा मंत्री Harjot Singh Bains के निरंतर प्रयासों का परिणाम माना जा रहा है।
इस परियोजना के पूरा होने से क्षेत्र में यातायात व्यवस्था बेहतर होगी, यात्रा का समय कम होगा और औद्योगिक, धार्मिक व पर्यटन गतिविधियों को भी बढ़ावा मिलेगा। स्थानीय लोगों ने इसे क्षेत्र के विकास के लिए एक ऐतिहासिक कदम बताया है।

Massive Fire Breaks Out in Warehouse in Jalandhar Residential Area, Major Tragedy Averted
Jalandhar: Panic gripped the area after a sudden massive fire broke out in a warehouse located in a residential locality of the city. Flames and thick smoke were visible from a long distance, causing fear among nearby residents, who rushed out of their homes.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire spread so rapidly that within minutes the entire warehouse was engulfed. As soon as information about the incident was received, the fire department sprang into action and immediately dispatched three fire tenders to the spot. After strenuous efforts, fire brigade personnel managed to bring the blaze under control.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, though a short circuit is suspected in the preliminary investigation. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident; however, the goods stored in the warehouse were completely gutted, indicating the likelihood of heavy losses.
Timely action by the fire officials prevented the fire from spreading to nearby houses, thereby averting a major disaster. Meanwhile, the police and district administration are investigating the matter, and an assessment of the damage is underway.
