खन्ना में ‘बेटी बचाओ बेटी पढ़ाओ’ योजना के तहत जिला प्रशासन लुधियाना द्वारा रामगढ़िया भवन में विशाल रोजगार एवं नि:शुल्क स्वास्थ्य शिविर का आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम में कैबिनेट मंत्री तरुणप्रीत सिंह सौंध मुख्य अतिथि के रूप में शामिल हुए। शिविर का उद्देश्य महिलाओं को रोजगार के अवसर प्रदान करना, स्वास्थ्य सेवाएं उपलब्ध कराना और उन्हें आत्मनिर्भर बनाना था।
शिविर में 25 से अधिक निजी और अर्ध-सरकारी कंपनियों ने भाग लिया। कुल 697 छात्राओं और महिलाओं ने इंटरव्यू दिए, जिनमें से 195 का चयन किया गया और लगभग 50 को मौके पर ही जॉब लेटर दिए गए। स्वास्थ्य शिविर के दौरान 341 महिलाओं का नि:शुल्क चेकअप किया गया और आवश्यक दवाइयां वितरित की गईं। मंत्री ने कहा कि पंजाब सरकार महिला सशक्तिकरण के लिए पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध है और ऐसे कार्यक्रम आगे भी जारी रहेंगे।

Mega Employment and Free Health Camp Held in Khanna Under ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, 195 Women Selected, 50 Receive On-the-Spot Job Letters
A mega employment and free health camp was organized at Ramgarhia Bhawan in Khanna under the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme by the Ludhiana district administration. Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond attended the event as the chief guest. The camp aimed to provide employment opportunities, healthcare services, and promote self-reliance among women.
More than 25 private and semi-government companies participated in the camp. A total of 697 female students and women appeared for interviews, out of which 195 were selected, and around 50 received on-the-spot job letters. During the health camp, 341 women underwent free medical check-ups and were provided necessary medicines. The minister reaffirmed the Punjab government’s commitment to women empowerment and stated that such initiatives will continue in the future.
