ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਤੀ ਰਾਤ ਇੱਕ ਤੇਜ਼ ਧਮਾਕੇ ਵਰਗੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਘਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਅਤੇ ਖਿੜਕੀਆਂ ਹਿੱਲ ਗਈਆਂ। ਇਹ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਕਰੀਬ 40–50 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਤੱਕ ਸੁਣੀ ਗਈ। ਫਤਿਹਗੜ੍ਹ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਅਮਲੋਹ, ਗੋਬਿੰਦਗੜ੍ਹ, ਖੰਨਾ, ਪਾਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਰਾਲਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਕਰੀਬ 9 ਵਜੇ ਆਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਗੁਜ਼ਰੇ ਸੁਪਰਸੋਨਿਕ ਫਾਈਟਰ ਜੈੱਟ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੋਨਿਕ ਬੂਮ ਬਣਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਤੇਜ਼ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਈ। ਇਸ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨ-ਮਾਲ ਦੇ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਰਹਿੰਦ ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਧਮਾਕੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।

Panic caused by a loud noise in the dead of night, incident linked to a fighter jet.
In Fatehgarh Sahib, a loud blast-like sound was heard late last night, causing doors and windows of houses to shake. The sound was audible across a distance of around 40–50 kilometers. Along with Fatehgarh Sahib, residents of Amloh, Gobindgarh, Khanna, Payal, and Samrala also experienced it.
According to the police, a sonic boom was created by a supersonic fighter jet passing through the sky around 9 p.m., which caused the loud noise. There have been no reports of any loss of life or property in this incident. However, due to a blast that occurred near Sirhind Railway Station a few days earlier, an atmosphere of fear still prevails among the local residents.
