ਅੱਜ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਹੇਠ ਜਲੰਧਰ ਦੇ ਪੀ.ਏ.ਪੀ. ਗਰਾਊਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਐੱਸ.ਸੀ. ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਜ਼ੀਫੇ ਵੰਡਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਭਰ ਦੇ 2.5 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਜ਼ੀਫਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡੀ ਰਾਹਤ ਮਿਲੀ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਲੋੜਵੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਤੌਰ ’ਤੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਖਾਰ ਸਕਣ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧ ਸਕਣ। ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਆਕੜਿਆਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਸਾਲ 2020–21 ਦੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ 2024–25 ਵਿੱਚ ਵਜ਼ੀਫਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰੀਬ 35 ਫ਼ੀਸਦੀ ਦਾ ਵਾਧਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਲਾਭਪਾਤਰਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਇਹ ਵਜ਼ੀਫਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਮਾਲੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਤਮ-ਨਿਰਭਰ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵੱਲ ਇਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਦਮ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ ਸੁਨਹਿਰੇ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵੱਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, scholarships were distributed to over 2.5 lakh SC students in Jalandhar.
Today, under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, a special event was organized at the PAP Ground in Jalandhar to distribute scholarships to SC students. On this occasion, scholarships were awarded to more than 2.5 lakh students from across the state, providing major relief to thousands of families.
The main objective of the Punjab Government is to provide higher education to children from needy and economically weaker families so that they can develop their potential and move forward in society. The government is continuously making efforts to strengthen the education system.
According to official data, compared to the year 2020–21, the number of students receiving scholarships in 2024–25 has increased by nearly 35 percent. This reflects that government schemes are reaching a larger number of beneficiaries.
These scholarships are not just financial assistance but also a strong step toward making students self-reliant, guiding them toward a brighter future through education.
