पंजाब में युवाओं को खेलों से जोड़ने के उद्देश्य से Aam Aadmi Party की अगुवाई वाली Bhagwant Mann सरकार ने आईपीएल की तर्ज पर ‘पंजाब क्रिकेट लीग’ आयोजित करने का फैसला किया है। इस पहल का मकसद राज्य में क्रिकेट प्रतिभाओं को एक बड़ा मंच प्रदान करना और खेल संस्कृति को मजबूत करना है।
सरकार इस लीग के आयोजन के लिए Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) और Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) के साथ सहयोग करेगी। प्रस्तावित लीग में जिला स्तर की टीमें हिस्सा लेंगी, जिससे ग्रामीण और शहरी क्षेत्रों के खिलाड़ियों को अपनी प्रतिभा दिखाने का अवसर मिलेगा।
सरकार का मानना है कि इस लीग से युवाओं को खेलों की ओर प्रेरित किया जा सकेगा और उन्हें पेशेवर क्रिकेट में आगे बढ़ने का मौका मिलेगा। साथ ही, इससे राज्य में खेल बुनियादी ढांचे को भी मजबूती मिलेगी और रोजगार के नए अवसर पैदा होंगे।

Punjab Cricket League to Be Launched on IPL Model to Engage Youth
To connect Punjab’s youth with sports, the Aam Aadmi Party-led government under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has decided to organize the ‘Punjab Cricket League’ on the lines of the IPL. The initiative aims to provide a major platform for cricketing talent in the state and strengthen the sports culture.
For organizing the league, the government will collaborate with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA). District-level teams are expected to participate in the tournament, giving players from both rural and urban areas an opportunity to showcase their talent.
The government believes that the league will motivate youth to take up sports seriously and open pathways toward professional cricket. It is also expected to boost sports infrastructure and create new employment opportunities in the state.
