ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਟਾਰਟਅੱਪ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੀਂ ਉਦਯੋਗਕ ਯੋਜਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੂਬੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਰਥ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਟਾਰਟਅੱਪ ਹੱਬ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਮਕਸਦ ਵੱਲ ਇੱਕ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਕਦਮ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੂਬੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਸਿਰਜਣ ਦੀ ਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਦੋਹੀ ਵਧ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਉਦਯੋਗਪਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਵੇਂ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਮਾਹੌਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਅਗਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ Punjab ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਉਦਯੋਗਕ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਬਲਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਇਨੋਵੇਸ਼ਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਟਾਰਟਅੱਪ ਡੈਸਟਿਨੇਸ਼ਨ ਵਜੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਵੀ Punjab ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਰਥਿਕ ਦੌੜ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਰੀਬ ₹29,480 ਕਰੋੜ ਦੀ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ ਰਕਮ ਖਿੱਚੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ 67,672 ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਨੌਕਰੀਆਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਬਣੀ ਹੈ। ਸੁਬੇ ਦੀ ਉਦਯੋਗਕ ਨੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼-ਮਿੱਤਰ ਨੀਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਟਾਰਟਅੱਪ ਲਈ ਸਹੂਲਤਾਂ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਸੂਬੇ ਦੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਰੋਬਾਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਯੋਗਿਕ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਣ ਦੀ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਵਧੀ ਹੈ।
ਸੰਨੀਵ ਅਰੋੜਾ, ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਉਦਯੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਵਪਾਰ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ Startup & Innovation Conclave 2025 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਲਕਸ਼ ਸਪੱਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਟਾਰਟਅੱਪ ਇਕੋਸਿਸਟਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਕੀਮਾਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਜ ਫੰਡ, ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰੋਟੋਟਾਈਪਿੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਪੈਚ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮੌਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇਦਾਰੀ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹਨ।
ਇਕੋਸਿਸਟਮ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ, ਮੁਹਾਲੀ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ, ਜਲੰਧਰ ਅਤੇ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਨਵੇਂ ਸਟਾਰਟਅੱਪ ਲਈ ਹੋਟਸਪੌਟ ਬਣ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੇਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਹਤ, ਤੇਕ, ਏਗਰੀਟੈਕ, ਫਿਨਟੈਕ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਸੈਕਟਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਟਾਰਟਅੱਪ ਜਲਦੀ ਢੇਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਿਵੇਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਖਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
বিশਲੇਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਨਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੇਕਰ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਇਹ ਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖੇ, ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਦੋ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਰਾਜ ਪੱਧਰੀ ਉਡਾਣੀ ਵਾਹਨ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਸ਼ੀਲ ਨਾਰਥ ਇੰਡੀਆ ਸਟਾਰਟਅੱਪ ਹੱਬ ਬਣ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
Punjab is steadily positioning itself as a leading startup and innovation hub in North India, driven by growing investments and a supportive ecosystem for new businesses. The state’s focus on entrepreneurship and job creation has generated significant economic momentum, attracting attention from investors, founders, and ecosystem enablers alike.
In the current financial year, Punjab has attracted nearly ₹29,480 crore in investments, which is projected to generate around 67,672 jobs. Investor-friendly policies and proactive government initiatives have created favorable conditions for startups, encouraging the youth to explore entrepreneurship and participate in industrial growth.
At the Startup & Innovation Conclave 2025, senior government officials, including the Industries and Commerce Minister, emphasized Punjab’s vision to become North India’s leading startup hub. Various government schemes are being introduced to strengthen the startup ecosystem, including seed funding, mentorship opportunities, prototyping support, and partnerships with domestic and foreign investors.
Key districts such as Mohali, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, and Bathinda are emerging as hotspots for startups. Sectors like health tech, agritech, fintech, and technology are attracting significant investor interest. The government is creating a supportive framework to help new businesses thrive and scale quickly.
Analysts believe that if Punjab maintains this pace, within two to three years it could emerge as not only a leading regional business hub but also as a recognized North India startup destination. This transformation is expected to boost economic growth, generate sustainable employment, and strengthen the state’s reputation as an innovation leader.
Punjab’s proactive approach, strategic planning, and investor-friendly policies make it a promising environment for startups and entrepreneurs seeking growth opportunities. The combination of financial incentives, mentorship, and infrastructure support is positioning the state to compete with other major startup ecosystems in the region.
